  • Love this church. Even tho I don't go every Sunday to church. I always feel like no one holds that against me. Praise God. I've just had some bad experiences before and I don't necessarily believe that I need to go to church to believe in Jesus and his father the Lord almighty. I do believe that you need to stay connected with fellow believers and attend when you can. It's just that 80% of the time we are motocrossing on Sundays. Now if they had a Saturday night service I would most likely attend that.
But I absolutely love this church. The praise and worship is awesome. I really connect with God thru praise & worship. And there new worship leader is awesome.
And I love Pastor Paul and Suzie. They are both wonderful people. Pastor Paul is such a good teacher and really listens to what God is telling him. He's sermons are really great and truly filled with the Holy Spirit. It's awesome to see how God works threw him to give us a message. There have been so many times that I have gone to church and it was like he was preaching right at me. Like God was using him to get a message to me. It may not be something I like or want to hear about myself. But if God doesn't correct us and put us on the right path we just may end up where we really don't want to be.
I've heard people complain about things that were preached on before and I just look at them and say, oh so you were offended. Looks like God's trying to tell you something maybe you should listen instead of complaining about today's message. You're not always going to like what God tells you. And believe me. When you listen and obey God, you will find no other joy greater than the rewards you will get from him.
I'll tell you a quick story. One day in church probably 18 yrs ago and it wasn't at this church. God had been telling me for probably 2 months dance before me, Dance Tina Dance. Dance before the Lord. Now this was happening in church during praise and worship. And I kept telling the Lord No I'm not going to do it here. And then one Sunday I obeyed. Oh my goodness I can not tell you what joy and love and compassion I felt in my heart and body. So much tension was released and I had a renewal in my body right there. So much peace a love. Love that surpasses all understanding. Completely and totally amazing.
After that probably 3 or 4 months, there was a tent meeting and I was dancing before the Lord like I did everytime I listened to praise & worship music. And afterwards a gal I had gone to school with K-8th grade said to me. Tina that was so beautiful. Thank you for not being afraid to do that in front of all these people.
We'll we ended up moving away from there and we moved to Holdrege. When we joined the church, I asked if it would be OK to dance in church. But the pastor then who was not Pastor Paul. Told me he didn't think our Congressation, Would understand that. So I stopped dancing in church. But now we have Pastor Paul and I haven't asked him. Because my spirit got squashed so to speak. And I pray that someday I can get that back.
Anyway I love listening to Pastor Paul because he listens to what God is calling him to do. In his sermons he references things to how we can understand it in today's world. If I don't get to church I try to watch him on the Porch Life.
Thank you for your continued inspiration.
